Jalca Chips bring these potatoes, still grown in the ancestral way and without pesticides, to the wider public for the first time. These potatoes are as colorful as their names, and are made into chips with pinks, purples, yellows and blues that come straight from nature.
Jalca Chips native potatoes are purchased at fair trade prices and a percentage of every box sold goes towards initiatives of the Native Potato Project that benefit these impoverished communities. The new demand created by Jalca Chips will help to ensure that farmers will continue to plant these beautiful potato varieties. Jalca Chips are a snack with a social conscience, a product that promotes economic opportunity for Andean farmers while preserving these once hidden treasures for future generations.
