Donor contributions

The International Potato Center is grateful for the generous support of all our donors, particularly those who contribute with unrestricted contributions. The funding we receive enables us to carry out high quality research and training designed to contribute to reducing poverty and achieving food security on a sustained basis in the poorest countries of the world. CIP’s revenues in 2001 were lower than they were in 2000, reflecting a general trend of decreasing funding to agricultural research. We are actively seeking new partners and additional sources of funding to maintain operations at a sustainable and stable level. This will enable us to make a solid contribution in the years to come to our goals: food security, healthy environments and less poverty through research, training, information and technical assistance on potato, sweetpotato, Andean root and tuber crops, natural resources and mountain ecologies.
