Website of the Month

Papussa is a collaborative research project that focuses on how aquatic food production can impact the livelihood of urban poor communities, improve the health of the environment, and develop considerate and appropriate urban planning. The project works in four Southeast Asian cities: Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, Phnom Penh, and Bankok.   Their aims are to investigate the role, management, risks, and constraints of recycling wastewater in peri-urban aquatic food production systems (PAFPS); improve the understanding of PAFPS in employment generation, pollution reduction, food production, waste reuse, and the value it has to urban poor communities and urban planning; the impacts on producers, consumers, and the institutions involved; and involve stakeholders in the development and knowledge of PAFPS.

The website is organized very user friendly, whilst the information is written concise, to the point, and easy to read.  The site provides access (in pdf format) to excellent source of information in the form of reports, articles, bibliographies, and includes several PhD studies.  Furthermore, the photo gallery, which is very well organized, contains some brilliant imaginary of aquatic food production systems in Southeast Asian.
